Food, Wine and Culture

Antignano is renowned for its wine, such as Barbera, Chardonnay and Moscato and for its corn, a particular kind of corn named Mais 8 file which means corn with 8 rows of seeds.

Each year between the end of July and the beginning of the religious festivities in honor of the Patron Saint, it is possible to try out some local food specialties prepared by the “Proloco” assosciation, like agnolotti, tajarin of “mais 8 file” and mixed grill.

Another important event which should not be missed is Antignano’s Crucis, a sacred representation reenacted by some 130 characters wearing historical themed costumes. The event takes place on the Good Friday through the town streets.
